Pavel Areen is a music composer based in Dhaka, Bangladesh who has been working for nearly two decades in the Bangladeshi music industry. At the age of sixteen, he began working as an audio engineer at “Bengal Studio”, the country's most successful audio studio at the time. Later on, Pavel built his own recording studio named “Butter Communication” and started working fully as a music composer and sound engineer.

Pavel has been working in projects of different genres ranging from major production houses/television radio commercials to independent films, web series, theme songs, signature music, etc. In addition, he has worked with some of the most prestigious directors of the Bangladesh film industry including Mostofa Sarwar Farooki, Amitabh Reza, Abdullah Mohammed Saad, Dhrubo Hasan, Noor Imran Mithu and many more. A lot of his film projects became massive hits.

Pavel Areen is one of the founding members of the internationally acclaimed epic fusion band “Chirkutt” as well as the music producer/sound engineer and drummer for the band. AUSTIN SXSW, Jaffna Music Festival and India Music Week were some of the most prestigious festivals he performed at with the band. Some of his achievements include felicitation by India's Honorable President 2012 and being awarded as best audio sound engineer by “Channel i music award” in 2018. Alongside, Pavel served as the chief sound engineer for a global musical project named “Wind of Change” and recorded live songs for numerous prestigious concerts within his country, from A R Rahman Live Concert in Dhaka 2014 to Bengal Classical Festival and Folk Festival.
